Experience

John is an associate in the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office, focusing his practice on civil litigation. John has experience representing individuals and corporations in diverse areas of civil litigation, including construction defect, product liability, personal injury, fiduciary duty, class action, and toxic tort.

Prior to joining the firm, John practiced at several firms in Los Angeles, California where he honed his skills in bad faith insurance litigation concerning property insurance, disability, life, ERISA, and professional liability in both state and federal courts. He also represented homeowners associations and homeowners in construction defect claims in jurisdictions throughout Southern California, including a construction defect case concerning mudslides that arose from slopes surrounding the community. In the area of toxic tort, he represented individuals suffering from catastrophic diseases who were injured by defective products, and he was involved in a Proposition 65 case regarding the presence of acrylamide in coffee.

After moving back to his home state of Virginia, John gained additional experience in criminal defense and has defended clients charged with murder and sexual offenses.
