Gabriel Cusumano is an Associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Gabriel received his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University, graduating in 2023. Prior to joining Kiernan Trebach, he served as law clerk for the Honorable John I. Gizzo in New Jersey Superior Court Essex Vicinage.

Gabriel has developed a diverse set of legal expertise with experience in both civil and criminal law.

He began his legal career as a law clerk for a boutique law firm in Morristown, New Jersey litigating Title VII religious discrimination and employment lawsuits.

Later he moved to a more prominent New Jersey firm where he specialized in Land Use and Zoning Applications and Disputes as well as Construction and Construction Defect Litigation. Finally, upon graduation from law school, he served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable John I. Gizzo, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey. While clerking, Gabriel also spent time practicing alternate dispute resolution in small claims court in Essex County New Jersey. There he settled numerous complex construction and renovation project disputes.

While in Law School he competed as part of the Seton Hall University Mock Trial Team and was President of the Saint Thomas More Society. He also worked for Open Doors International, a global non-profit dedicated to protecting persecuted Christians around the world.

Gabriel earned his Bachelor of Arts at Villanova University in Political Science and History in 2019.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Gabriel has a keen interest in history, architecture, the Classics, and property redevelopment.
