Kiernan Trebach’s transportation lawyers defend a wide range of trucking and transportation-related cases, ranging from single vehicle accidents to catastrophic multi-party events. Our team represents clients across the transportation modes, including trucking, railroad, intermodal and maritime operators.
Our transportation clients work around the clock and so do we- our team is available 24/7/365 to respond to critical incidents as they arise, and we routinely become involved within hours after an incident occurs. Our attorneys work closely with experts in the field to ensure that our clients’ interests are protected in the critical hours and days after an accident. Our team members also have experience representing transportation clients in connection with National Transportation Safety Board (“NTSB”) investigations of catastrophic incidents.
Trucking
Kiernan Trebach’s trucking attorneys represent regional and national trucking companies, insurance carriers, owner-operators, global parcel carriers, municipalities, ambulance and health care providers, and regional and metropolitan transit administrations. Our team includes former prosecutors with extensive experience defending trucking companies and owner operators against criminal charges, as well as overweight and FMSCA citations.
Railroad
Since the late 1980’s, Kiernan Trebach’s attorneys have defended passenger, Class I and short-line railroads against wide range of cases, including FELA claims for traumatic injury, occupational exposure and cumulate trauma. Our railroad attorneys also have extensive experience defending personal injury actions arising from on-board and terminal operations, crossing accidents, and negligent security claims as well as employment discrimination and FRSA/OSHA whistleblower claims against railroad companies. Kiernan Trebach’s success defending railroad companies in federal and state courts has allowed us to maintain decades-long client relationships with the nation’s largest rail carriers.
