General Litigation
Chris J. Garino is a driven and passionate advocate with experience across the legal tapestry. He earned his JD from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law along with an advanced certificate in international law.
Chris has experience in consumer debt defense litigation, not-for-profit corporate compliance, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant mediation, small-claims mediation, international diplomacy, IP licensing, family law, and criminal law.
After receiving his JD, Chris clerked for the Honorable Maureen B. Mantineo in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson Vicinage. In his time there, Chris was exposed to the inner workings of court procedure and aims to practice with that perspective in mind.
Outside of the professional world, Chris enjoys biking, hiking, reading, and writing. Chris’ article co-authored with Howard Gutman titled “Failing to Learn the Lessons of Madoff” was published this year by UMass Law Review.
Throughout his career, Chris has prided himself on his tenacity, communication skills, and scope of interests. He looks forward to applying those skills to serve his clients at Kiernan Trebach LLP.
