Cynthia is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. She has over 25 years of experience defending hospitals, nurses, physicians and other acute care medical providers in complex, high-exposure medical malpractice cases throughout Pennsylvania. She has significant experience in mass tort litigation involving drugs, implants, and medical devices. She also has extensive experience in general liability defense, corporate bankruptcy, and construction cases.
Cynthia also has experience in appellate work and has written numerous briefs in the Superior Court. Notably, Cynthia wrote a winning Frye/Daubert brief in the Pennsylvania Silicone Breast Implant Litigation that effectively eliminated all claims that implants caused systemic illness.
Cynthia is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Ms. Brennan is a 1987 graduate of Moravian College where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Business and Biology. She obtained her master's degree in International Business in 1998 from Point Park College where she graduated summa cum laude. Ms. Brennan attained her law degree from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1994 where she graduated cum laude and was a published member of the law review. She also served as an editor of the Michigan Opinion Notes column in the statewide Michigan Bar Journal.
Ms. Brennan provides pro bono assistance to Central American migrant children who were forced to leave their country under harrowing circumstances. Ms. Brennan assists them in obtaining special status in the U.S. that may lead to citizenship in the future.
